Einen Schwerpunkt meiner aktuellen Forschung bilden Aufmerksamkeit und Augenbewegungen bei der Verarbeitung natürlicher Reize und während realistischer Aufgaben. Darüber hinaus verwende ich „rivalry“ (Kippfiguren bzw. binokularen Wettstreit) zur Untersuchung der Gemeinsamkeiten zwischen Wahrnehmung, Entscheidungsfindung und Handlungssteuerung. Gemeinsam zielen beide Forschungsrichtungen auf ein besseres Verständnis, wie das menschliche Gehirn aus komplexen und mehrdeutigen Signalen diejenige Information gewinnt, welche für das Erreichen der Verhaltensziele von Bedeutung ist.
