ColorAssim — Color Assimilation Demo
ColorAssim is a research and demonstration app illustrating the color assimilation illusion, based on work published in iPerception (2024).
ColorAssim does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. No information of any kind leaves your device.
The app requests access to your device’s camera solely to capture a photo for the color assimilation demonstration. Photos are processed entirely on your device using on-device machine learning (Apple Vision / ML Kit). Images are never uploaded to any server and are not stored anywhere by the app beyond your current session. Face data is never shared with any third party and is discarded when you close the app.
The app may request access to your photo library only if you choose to save the generated result image. Saving is entirely optional and initiated by you.
ColorAssim contains no analytics, no advertising, no third-party SDKs that collect data, and no tracking of any kind.
ColorAssim does not collect any data from any user, including children. The app is rated 4+ and is appropriate for all ages.
