Meine aktuelle Forschung umfasst Studien zu den neuralen Korrelaten von Wahrnehmungsprozessen (z.B. Wahrnehmung von Handlungen, Raum, Zeit, Kausalität oder sozialen Hinweisreizen), Gedächtnisprozessen (z.B. episodisches Gedächtnis, Konditionierung und Priming) und kommunikativen Prozessen (z.B. Gestik, Sprache und semantische Verarbeitung) sowie zu den Störungen dieser Funktionen in Patienten mit psychischen Erkrankungen (z.B. Schizophrenie und Panikstörung). Besonders interessiert mich der Einfluss des motorischen Systems auf die neuralen Korrelate der multisensorischen Wahrnehmung.

Mein Ziel ist die Erforschung der Repräsentation prädiktiver Mechanismen im Gehirn und wie diese unsere Handlung und Wahrnehmung im multisensorischen Kontext beeinflussen.
