Der Schwerpunkt meiner aktuellen Forschung liegt auf den sensomotorischen Determinanten der Wahrnehmung. Ich untersuche, wie das Erscheinungsbild einer einheitlichen visuellen Welt aus dem Zusammenspiel der fovealen Architektur unseres visuellen Systems und unserer Fähigkeit, unsere Umgebung mit Augenbewegungen zu erkunden, entsteht.

Ich interessiere mich auch dafür, wie Augen- und Handbewegungen in der realen Welt kontrolliert und koordiniert werden, von kleinen Augenbewegungen bei Präzisionsaufgaben bis hin zu großen orientierenden Augenbewegungen, die durch mobiles Eye-Tracking gemessen werden.
