Wie motorische Erfahrungen die prädiktiven visuell-räumlichen Fähigkeiten von Säuglingen beeinflussen: Eine Spezifizierung der mediierenden Prozesse

Geplante Forschung

Das Ziel von Projekt A7 besteht darin zu ermitteln, welche Prozesse den positiven Zusammenhang zwischen der Fortbewegungsfähigkeit und den manuellen Objektexplorationsfähigkeiten von Säuglingen und ihren prädiktiven visuell-räumlichen Fähigkeiten mediieren. Durch die Verwendung von Eye-tracking und EEG-Aufzeichnungen sowie durch die systematische Einschränkung der kindlichen Möglichkeiten zur Objektexploration soll untersucht werden, ob Veränderungen in der visuellen und visuell-haptischen Enkodierung solche Mediatoren zwischen den motorischen Fähigkeiten und den verbesserten visuell-räumlichen kindlichen Prädiktionen darstellen. 

Laufende Forschung

Im Arbeitsprogramm soll bei Säuglingen untersucht werden, ob ihre visuellen und manuellen Prädiktionsfähigkeiten bei der Wahrnehmung sich bewegender Objekte mit ihren motorischen Fertigkeiten zusammenhängen. Dazu wird ihr antizipatorisches Blick- und Greifverhalten analysiert. Anhand von Trainingsstudien soll ermittelt werden, ob die Motorik tatsächlich eine Ursache für diesen Zusammenhang darstellt.
