Über den Ursprung von Farbkategorien

Projekt C2 kombiniert Psychophysik, Modellierung und Bildgebung, um zu erforschen, wie Farbkategorien entstehen und wie sie mit Objektkategorien zusammenhängen. Insbesondere versuchen wir die Beiträge von retinalen Verarbeitungsmechanismen und visueller Aufmerksamkeit zu entzerren. Mittels funktionaler Magnetresonanztomographie untersuchen wir die Grundlagen der Interaktion zwischen Farbwahrnehmung und Kategorisierung. Ziel ist ein bildbasiertes Modell des gesamten Prozesses der Farbwahrnehmung, vom Auge zum Gehirn.
