I completed my studies in Biology in 2011. My thesis focused on gaze movements and spatial working memory in collision avoidance. The work was supervised by Dr. Gregor Hardiess and Prof. Hanspeter Mallot at the University of Tübingen, Germany. After the defense, I continued one more year working in Prof. Mallot’s lab as part of a project called „Role of Early Vision cues in Human Place Recognition“.  My PhD thesis will mainly focus on how image properties like lightness and glossiness are perceived. First questions address the uniformity of glossiness perception over a surface (surfaces with various highlights) and the perception of surfaces consisting of different materials.
