Education:
Diploma in Psychology, 2007 Justus Liebig University Gießen
Diploma thesis: Grasping trapezoidal objects. A study of movement parameters
Doctoral degree in natural sciences (Ph.D.), 2011 Justus Liebig University Gießen
Doctoral thesis: Kinematics and control of human precision grip grasping.
License as a medical practitioner, 2013 Justus Liebig University Gießen

Employment:
I'm currently working at the Wetzlar hospital as a physician in the department of internal medicine with a focus on cardiology.

Research Interests:
I'm interested in how we use visual information from our environment in order to guide skillful motor behavior. A special focus during my thesis has been placed on modelling precision grip grasps of the human hand. In the future I'm planning to extend this work with respect to the changes in behavior found in patients suffering from motor disorders.
