Roland W. Fleming (Justus-Liebig-Universität, Gießen) has been awarded the Vision Sciences Society / Elsevier Young Investigator Award for 2013. The award ceremony was held at the annual meeting of the Vision Sciences Society in Naples, FL, USA. Prof. Fleming presented a short talk entitled "Shape, Material Perception and Internal Models", about recent advances in the study of material perception.
